When adversity, persecution, illness, trials, tribulations, and strife come; what is your foundation made of?
The Bible says in Matthew 7:24-27, “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
What type of foundation is your life built on? Is it built on the world’s viewpoint or is in built in Christ Jesus?
A couple of months ago, I contracted Covid Pneumonia. I was very ill and had to be hospitalized for medical support. The entire time I was in the hospital, I felt the peace of Christ. My only concern was not of my own life but my wife and family. But when it came to my own concerns for my own well being, I knew that I was cradled in the hands of Jesus. The reason why I felt no fear of dying was because the foundation of my life was laid and built on the Rock of my Savior and salvation, Jesus Christ. I knew His promises and had faith that I would recover.
