Is Your Name Written in the Book of Life?

This morning, I saw a video of Billy Graham talking about Revelation 20:15. This Scripture states:

“And if anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” — Revelation 20:15

This is very real to me because I know that many of my friends and even some of my family members do not truly know the risen Savior, Jesus Christ. You have not accepted the salvation that Jesus wants to give you. You have basically said, “I am fine. I am good where I am. I have everything I need.”

But do you? Are you really fine?

A day will come when you pass from this world, and you will stand before the Lord. How terrifying it would be to hear Jesus say, “I never knew you; depart from Me.” For me, those are some of the most terrifying words anyone could ever hear.

So, friends and family, I plead with you: Why not surrender your life to Christ Jesus now? Why do you not believe in Jesus? Why are you living your life complacently and comfortably, with little thought of bringing your children up in the way of the Lord?

Please understand the seriousness of this. If you reject Christ and do not teach your children about Him, you are leading them down the same road of unbelief—a road that ultimately leads to eternal separation from God. I do not say this to condemn you. I say it because I love you, I care about your soul, and I care about the souls of your children.

Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6

Here are some Scriptures I want to share with you and ask you to prayerfully consider:

1. Romans 3:23 — The issue of sin

Everyone has sinned and falls short of God’s glory.

2. Romans 6:23 — The penalty for sin

Sin earns death, but eternal life is God’s gift through Jesus Christ.

3. John 3:3 — The necessity of being born again

Jesus teaches that a person must be born again to see the Kingdom of God.

4. John 14:6 — Jesus is the only way

Jesus declares that He is the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him.

5. Romans 10:9–11 — Salvation through faith in Christ

Confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

6. 2 Corinthians 5:15 — Surrendering your life to Christ

Christ died so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

7. Revelation 3:20 — The decision

Jesus stands at the door and knocks. He calls us to hear His voice and open the door to Him.

Please, my loved ones, turn your eyes and your hearts toward Jesus Christ. Do not keep putting Him off. Do not assume that you will always have tomorrow.

I want to see you in Heaven one day. I want your name to be written in the Book of Life. More importantly, Jesus is calling you to repent, believe, surrender your life to Him, and receive the salvation that only He can give.

Please turn to Jesus while you have the opportunity.
