I have not always had a close walk with God and had allowed sin to enter into my life. God has never failed me and has always led me back home to Him when I strayed away.

The Daily Bread: The Forgiving God
As I was reading and studying the Word of God this morning, Psalm 103 ministered to my heart. I will share a few thoughts that have stood out to me. But first, please join me in reading Psalm 103 (English Standard Version): Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless hisContinue reading “The Daily Bread: The Forgiving God”
The Ugliness of Christian Politics
Most recently, our beloved Commonwealth of Virginia has experienced political controversy of our Democratic Governor, Dr. Ralph Northam, who just endorsed the most aggressive late-term abortion bill. This bill was defeated, but the fact that a Pediatric Neurologist, who is also the Governor of Virginia, is not sitting well with Christians on both the RepublicanContinue reading “The Ugliness of Christian Politics”
The Daily Bread: Have you felt Defeated?
Have you ever felt defeated? Have you felt like you have lost everything? In Psalm 86, David cries out to God. Were you aware that you can pray this same prayer and it could apply to your own life in our current society? I could certainly make a commentary about the Psalm, but I willContinue reading “The Daily Bread: Have you felt Defeated?”
Breaking News: Jesus of Nazareth Has Risen from the Dead! The Tomb Is Empty!
April 17, 30 AD: At about 4:30 this morning, Mary Magdalene reports that she went to the Jesus’ tomb and found it open. She peered inside and saw that Jesus was nowhere in sight. His body was gone and his burial cloth was neatly folded up. According to John, “So she ran and went toContinue reading “Breaking News: Jesus of Nazareth Has Risen from the Dead! The Tomb Is Empty!”
Meet Him at the Well: You Will Never Thirst Again
One of my favorite stories in the New Testament as well as the entire Bible is when Jesus encountered the Samaritan woman at the well. Look at the story from John 4.1-43. 4 Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John— 2 although in fact it was notContinue reading “Meet Him at the Well: You Will Never Thirst Again”
Who Will Vouch For You?
Last night, I had a very vivid dream. I was taking a class and had to take an exam. I drove my car to different parking lots to sit and study for the exam. I kept getting interrupted and was run off from several parking lots by the attendants. Then I finally found one andContinue reading “Who Will Vouch For You?”
It Should Have Been Me
Today, as I think about what Jesus did for you and me, I had an image in my mind. It was of the pounding of spikes, like those nailed into railroad ties. As I closed my eyes, I could see Jesus crawling onto the rugged cross after being illegally arrested, tried in the middle ofContinue reading “It Should Have Been Me”
Is Time Running Out?
Just last Fall, I had the pleasure at singing at my Mother-in-law’s funeral. Now I know what most of you are thinking? How can I say that I had the pleasure singing at her funeral? Although her physical body was in the bronze casket, her spirit was already with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.Continue reading “Is Time Running Out?”
Make Disciples, Who Make Disciples, Who Make Disciples: Acts 1:8
In Acts 1:8, Jesus gave instructions to His disciples as well as all Christians. He said that we are to take the Gospel throughout Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the utmost parts of the world. So, according to Dr. Mark Becton of Grove Avenue Baptist Church, our commandment from Christ is to “make disciples, who willContinue reading “Make Disciples, Who Make Disciples, Who Make Disciples: Acts 1:8”
