In my Bible study this morning, I was reading in Genesis about Noah and how God punished the world because of men and women sinning against God. They were living vile lives and had fallen away. But Noah was a righteous man and God saved him and his family in the ark. God flooded the entire earth and killed every living creature. The only ones spared were those on the ark including male and female of every living creature.
After the flood waters receded, God promised that He would never flood the earth again! God made a covenant with Noah. In Genesis 8, verses 20-22, Noah had built an alter and he took some of every living creature and offered God a burnt offering. God smelled the aroma and it was pleasing to God. God said in His heart, “I will never curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
Even as God has promised this, men and women, with their evil hearts have turned from God. Just look at our society today. Hearts have turned from the way of God and hearts burn for desire of same sex relationships and marriages. Men and women are living together as if they are married but without the marriage commitment. If things don’t work out, they leave and go into another relationship into the arms of another. In dating relationships, sex is expected without regard to any Christian values. We are living in a sexual “Sodom and Gomorrah,” where everything goes and society as a whole, doesn’t even blink an eye or even realize that this sin nature is an abomination to God.
Pornography can be found on any cable, satellite, or on the internet. It is just a click away. The United States is the largest producer of porn in the world. Girls and women are sold into sexual slavery right here in the US. People who pay for this pornography in fact are the ones who are supporting this sex industry. Many people who proclaim to be followers of Jesus are in fact addicted to it. It’s literally everywhere.
God sent His Son, Jesus to save the world. Jesus died a bloody and painful death for us all and still today, people reject Him. Their hearts are burning with desire of what this world and the evil one has to offer.
I wonder how God will deal with us before the return, the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? Could Global Warming be God’s punishment for a sinning world who seems to be out of control and attempting to lead the entire unsaved world to hell?
Thanks to my Father who art in Heaven, I have Jesus in my life. As a matter of fact, my entire family is saved. But what about you and your family? Are you saved? Do you know the Living Christ who lives in the hearts of every born again Christian? If you want to know Him, here are some Scriptures to read and understand. Read them, and then if you believe, then pray to ask Jesus into your heart.
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
John 3:3 “Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Romans 10: 9-11” because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
2 Corinthians 5:15 “and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.”
Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
If you proclaim to know Christ, and if you are addicted to porn, you need to seek help and repent from your sin.
Jesus stands at your hearts door and knocks. If you want to really experience a “true” relationship with Jesus, then consider inviting Jesus Christ into your heart and life and ask God to change your heart and transform you to be Christ-like in all that you do. Believe with your heart and mind. Ask forgiveness of your wrongdoing and sins, and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Transformation means that you are a changed person for Christ.
