When in prayer in the morning, I like to pray the Scriptures back to God. I often turn them around and place my name in when I pray. This morning, I was reading Psalm 3 and then I started to pray the Scriptures back to God.
Here is Psalm 3:
O Lord, how many are my foes!
Many are rising against me;
2 many are saying of my soul,
“There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah[a]
3 But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head.
4 I cried aloud to the Lord,
and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
5 I lay down and slept;
I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of many thousands of people
who have set themselves against me all around.
7 Arise, O Lord!
Save me, O my God!
For you strike all my enemies on the cheek;
you break the teeth of the wicked.
8 Salvation belongs to the Lord;
your blessing be on your people! Selah
As I read through these, the Lord impressed on my mind and heart the following prayer:
Dear Lord, You are my shield, my Glory, and the Lifter of my head. I cry out to You and you answer me. When I go to sleep, I wake up and You have sustained me. It is only through You that I am protected and kept safe. Salvation belongs to You Lord, You are the giver of Salvation, and Your Blessings is on Your people.
Please note the words underlined. God is our Shield, Glory, Lifter of our heads, Sustainer, Protector, Salvation, and Blessings. It is only through Christ Jesus that we are His people. He is our all in all.
I pray that you too may come to know the saving grace of Jesus. May the Lord Bless you today and throughout your Christian journey.
