In the last seventeen years, our nation has instituted laws that at one time was considered defilement in the Word of God. Abortion has been on the rise like a fever pitch to where it is being funded by a godless nation. God has been removed from our nations courthouses, government buildings, and schools. What was once called sacred is now considered hate and what was once called deviant is now considered the norm. Our nation has basically spat in God’s face.
Young people in our nation do not know about the Living God because some pastors have failed to teach from the pulpit the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of political correctness, certain pastors and ministers are holding back the “True Gospel of Christ.” They are preaching to tickle the ears of their congregants, thus helping the evil one to lead them to hell. See 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”
Children do not respect their elders or their parents and people have no respect for any minister of the Gospel of Christ who is teaching and preaching the truth. These are signs of the last days. Please see Mark 13:3-13:
“3 And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?” 5 And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray. 6 Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray. 7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.
9 “But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them. 10 And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. 11 And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. 13 And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”
There is a consequence for this vile behavior against the Commandments of God, which all Scripture supports. Our nation has become an unrighteous nation, which was originally founded on Christian principles, has now turned her back on God’s principles. God will punish the unrighteous as foretold in the following Scripture. See Romans 1:18-32:
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
“18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”
Unfortunately, the above passage from Romans 1:18-34 describes the United States today and its culture. But God still loves every one of us. That is why He sent His Son Jesus, to die for the redemption of our sin. But God also will send His wrath to punish our nation and lift His protection because of widespread disobedience and wickedness.
There is hope. Just like God called to the Israelites and gave them this proclamation found in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, “13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
If sinners will turn from their wickedness, God will heal our land. But if they do not, God will allow His wrath to be unleashed to punish our nation as well as the world. Notice in verse 13 of 2 Chronicles 7, the word pestilence. Let us define that word. Pestilence as defined as “a contagious or infectious epidemic disease that is virulent and devastating especially: bubonic plague.” What did we just experience in the last 15 months? We experienced Covid-19, a Coronavirus which was described as a plague. Many were protected from it but unfortunately, many millions died from it. I believe that God allowed it to happen because our nation as well as the world has turned their backs of the ways of God, therefore God allowed the pestilence to ravage the world.
We are also seeing horrific things happening all over the world, from mass shootings and murders to earthquakes to wars and rumors of wars. Most recently, I heard about a minister who had a dream about another minster whom he did not know, who was living a life of sin. This other minister had a girlfriend and he was also married. This minister and his girlfriend were attacked by bees, swarms of them, and those bees killed them as well as all of those who were unrighteous in the eyes of God. I took this as an indication that God may be removing His hand of protection and blessing from our nation. I believe that what we just went through is just the beginning of God’s wrath and punishment of our nation. I pray that this is not so, but let’s be honest with each other. Our nation has turned away from God, and wickedness is running rampant throughout the land.
Most recently, I was cursed out by a young person on social media because I made a comment that she did not subscribe to. In today’s culture, one cannot have an opinion or a discussion on what we believe. The unrighteous wants us to shut-up and stay silent, lest we be persecuted. This is known as the cancel culture. We are to shut up and stay silent or face persecution.
I believe that Christ Jesus is coming back soon. Does soon mean tomorrow or does it mean in 50 to 100 years? The fact is that no one knows the day that Jesus will return, not even the angels. See Mark 13:32-37, “32 “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. 34 It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. 35 Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— 36 lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. 37 And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”
I believe that His return is imminent. But even though time is still short, people still have a chance to come to Him. If you do not know the Living Savior, Jesus, please consider reading the following Scriptures describing who He is and why He came. Then pray and ask Him into your life. Once you die, it is too late for salvation and forgiveness.
The Bible says in Romans 3:23, that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
In Romans 6:23, it reads, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Look in John 3:3, “Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Why did Jesus come to die?
In John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” One cannot get to Heaven unless they know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Look at Romans 10:9-11, “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
In 2 Corinthians 5:15, “and He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.”
The final verse is from Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Jesus stands at your heart’s door and knocks. He wants a relationship with you. Once you accept Him as your personal Savior, He will minister to you through His Holy Spirit.
Don’t put this off any further. Please pray this simple prayer.
Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you came into the world to save it. I believe you died on the cross to save me of my sins. I believe that you rose from the grave on the third day. I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me from all the sins and trespasses I have ever committed. Thank you, Jesus, for saving my soul. I pray this in Jesus Name! Amen!
Once you have prayed, please seek to attend a Bible believing church. What this means is that they teach from the Bible. They are excited about sharing their faith with others. Go to church and get discipled in how to live your life daily. The Bible says that we are not to forsake the assembly meaning that we are to attend church so that we may encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25). The Bible also says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Also, please buy or obtain a Holy Bible. I enjoy reading a Bible that has a translation called the English Standard Version. Consider getting one with a concordance which will help you understand some of the Scriptures meaning. I pray that you will come to know the saving grace of Jesus. He is the only one you can turn to in these dark times that we face ahead. I pray that you come to Him today!
